Cambridge University Amateur Boxing Club (CUABC) is one of the oldest and most prestigious University sports teams in the UK. The annual Varsity Match against Oxford is the longest-running boxing fixture in the world and has been fiercely contested each year since 1897.

Hundreds of students battle it out across the season for a place in the Varsity squad, undertaking 11.5 hours of compulsory training each week. The team competes around the country and boasts BUCS medalists and ABA national champions amongst its ranks. The club relies on annual membership subscriptions of around £180 to cover coaching and facility hire costs. Equipment and kit is purchased separately by members. These expenses deter talented athletes from joining the club and participating. Events including the annual Town vs. Gown and Varsity competitions are funded through ticket sales, and reliant on attendance to break even.

We are seeking additional alumni support to help meet these ongoing expenses, and continue to mount successful Varsity campaigns. By donating, you ensure that CUABC remains financially sustainable, provide support for the development of the club, and ensure student fighters can continue to develop their love of boxing in Cambridge.
