Whether you’ve been to many before, or this will be your first, the Earth Sciences Alumni Day and Dinner will be a wonderful opportunity to revisit not only the department but many fellow alumni – return to the formerly familiar surroundings of the lecture theatre for a talk, walk once again through to stone displays in the common room, spend time reminiscing over what has stayed the same and what has changed.

The programme starts with Registration at 1:30pm. From 2pm there will be talks from staff and students, tours including a chance to visit some of our labs, explore the more hidden areas of the building and head off-site; demonstrations; museum-based activities; archive facsimiles and other treasures on display in the library plus refreshments and plenty of spaces to relax and catch up with your peers.

The Sedgwick Museum is open to the public until 4pm and will have plenty of entertainment for children as well as curious grown-ups (some activities will require signing up).

There will be a drinks reception in the Sedgwick Museum before we reconvene at Queens’ College for a delicious meal in eye catching surrounds.
