ADC Theatre
The ADC theatre is the centre of University drama, providing high-quality entertainment to the University and the city of Cambridge through innovative programming
Our aim is to offer unrivalled opportunities to students from all backgrounds, enabling them to participate in the making of theatre and to develop critical skills, whether as writers, actors, directors, producers or technicians.
We are committed to keeping our ticket prices low and our bar affordable, so that both our student and adult audiences can experience and enjoy as much theatre as possible. The pandemic delivered a sharp shock to the ADC’s immediate finances but also revealed just how important theatre is to the mental and physical wellbeing of Cambridge students.
The ADC is the oldest university playhouse in the country, and the impact of the ADC on British theatre is vast. ADC alumni include Oscar, BAFTA, Olivier and Tony award winners.
Many of our performers today could be the famous names of tomorrow. With your support, we can ensure that they get the best theatrical training we can offer, with industry-standard theatrical equipment, financial support for ambitious and innovative productions and an ongoing investment in our backstage facilities. Your support will enable us to continue to fulfil our mission of bringing affordable drama to the widest possible audience.
