Breast Cancer Programme
Personalised medicine is pivotal in treating the most common cancer in women globally — breast cancer.
Cambridge University's Personalised Breast Cancer Programme has already identified multiple imperceptible mutations, changing patient treatment for the better. This programme has set a new standard: it was the first group — worldwide — to use Cambridge-developed Next Generation Sequencing as a routine, standard-of-care diagnostic and clinical tool.
These data-led approaches are the key to unlocking better treatments, and we will implement them widely across all cancer types.
