Full Blue Racing is a student team of 60 that designs, builds, and races a single-seater race car at the annual Formula Student UK (FSUK) competition.

We are a not-for-profit organisation that is mostly funded through corporate sponsorship and private support. Since our founding in 2006, we have consistently competed in FSUK; we achieved our best overall standing in 2019 and were one of only 24 teams out of 81 to compete in the endurance event. We have also competed internationally in Germany where we achieved second place in business judging, as well as Spain.

Our team ethos is to foster collaboration. We aim to provide our students with the multidisciplinary teamwork experience, as well as demonstrate high-level systems engineering, which is a required skill in the industry. The rigorous design judging at FS events also requires our students to understand and justify their design from first principles, a crucial skill for engineers.

We are very keen to promote STEM careers to younger students. We work closely with the engineering department to engage in outreach events, from the Cambridge Science Fair to presenting our project to international engineering exchange visitors.

With your support, we would be able to explore more refined engineering designs. We would also be able to keep up with industry trends and begin development for an electric car.
