Cambridge University Ice Hockey Club (CUIHC) prides itself as one of the oldest ice hockey clubs in the world.

The Club is home to three teams: the men’s blues, the women’s blues and our mixed-gender development team the Huskies. All teams compete in the BUIHA league (British University Ice Hockey Association) and play in our annual varsity matches in March.

CUIHC is committed to providing the highest quality training and coaching that we can. Unfortunately, the high costs of the sport can be a limiting factor for our club and can deter new players. Support from our alumni would lessen the financial burden on our players and would increase participation in this fantastic sport.

Examples of what your donations could go towards:

  • £50 would help a new player buy a pair of ice hockey skates
  • £100 would cover the cost of a player’s Cambridge Blues jersey and socks so they can represent Cambridge at our games
  • £350 would allow the club to run an ice hockey taster session for Cambridge students
  • £1000 would go towards our long-term goal of having a paid coach. We are incredibly lucky to have such committed volunteer alumni coaches but we are aware that this will not always be possible
  • £2300 would subsidize our women’s pre-varsity training camp in January
  • £5000 would cover the cost of a second development team, giving beginner players the opportunity to learn and develop their skills before joining our Huskies team

We are very grateful for your support. Thank you!
