Millennium Mathematics Project — Plus magazine

Mathematics is the language of the Universe - 'Plus' tells the story.

Plus is a free online maths magazine aimed at the interested and intelligent reader, including older school students (16+) and the wider public.

Lively, accessible and in-depth articles, podcasts and videos explore all aspects of maths, ranging from what string theory predicts about hidden dimensions, to climate change modelling and the application of maths in medicine. News items uncover the hidden maths behind media headlines and report news from the world of research.

Plus enables students, teachers and members of the public to engage with the world of mathematics, promoting public understanding, informed debate and discussion. Plus also connects researchers to the wider community and helps to develop the next generation of science communicators, bridging the gap between the general public and cutting edge mathematical research.

Plus reaches a global audience of over 1.6 million users a year and is free for all. Part of the University’s Millennium Mathematics Project, Plus is supported by donations and grants from organisations and individuals who share our commitment to making a difference to mathematics education and engagement.
