Medical students typically experience significant financial pressure during their clinical training. This is due to greatly reduced government maintenance support for the final two years of the course. For students on the Graduate Medicine course, this financial burden is even greater.

With their course's demanding workload, extended hospital placement requirements, and short vacations, it is difficult for clinical students to take up part-time work to mitigate shortfalls in government funding.

A gift to the Clinical Medical Student Hardship Fund allows us to direct funds to where they are most needed, helping our clinical medical students who face financial hardships, immediately and in the months and years ahead.
