Cambridge University Dance Competition Team
The CUDCT is a mixed Half-Blues status team which supports 45 to 50 athletes of the highest calibre in 7 styles of dance each year, offering performance opportunities including the prestigious Varsity competition against Oxford, two national inter-university dance competitions and two to three Dance Society performances per season.
Since 2016, we have won Varsity 8 times and earned countless medals on national stages, gaining a reputation of talent, creativity and athleticism.
Participation in competition at such a high level, though, comes with significant financial costs, therefore our team’s ability to achieve our goal of representing the University at the highest national level in dance depends on the financial support of donors.
In the upcoming 2026 to 2027 season, your donations will help us break down financial barriers and support dancers on the team:
- £25 could fund one day of competition entry fees for one dancer, helping us to reduce the financial constraints of competing.
- £50 could provide a CUDCT Blues Jacket, allowing an athlete to represent Cambridge nationally.
- £100 could support the compensation for a Varsity judge, ensuring our dancers and choreographers receive valuable feedback.
- £300 could cover the costs of a full-day rehearsal in a safer, fit-for-purpose dance studio, rather than small, carpeted College rooms.
- £1000 could help us attend a national competition by covering the cost of one night of accommodation or one way of bus transport for the entire team.
We appreciate any financial support you are able to give and look forward to keeping you involved throughout the season.
Any significant donations will be handled by committee, and recurring direct debits can be used for distinct purposes if specified.
