Founded in 2020, the Cambridge University Aikido Club practices Shodokan Aikido, a dynamic martial art combining traditional techniques with contemporary training methods.

We offer training sessions for University of Cambridge students every Saturday at the Sports Centre and collaborate with Shodokan Aikido Cambridge to provide additional weekday sessions.

Our mission

We aim to make Aikido accessible to all students, fostering a safe and inclusive environment for beginners and experienced practitioners alike. We charge a monthly fee of just £15 for unlimited training (up to four sessions per week during term time). Maintaining this affordability requires additional support.

Why your support matters

As a student-run club, we depend on the generosity of alumni and other supporters to cover essential costs such as venue hire, equipment, and subsidised competition entry and travel costs. Your donation will help us ensure that Aikido remains an inclusive and accessible activity for all Cambridge students. No matter the size, your contribution will make a difference.
