Alumni and guests are invited to join the Cambridge Society of Dorset for a talk by a guest speaker author Tim Jeal - “The Explorers of the Nile”, and a buffet lunch.
After a buffet lunch, the highly acclaimed biographer of David Livingstone and Henry Morton Stanley, Tim Jeal, will give a talk about his book, “The Explorers of the Nile”. This covers Speake and Burton’s legendary quest to discover the source of the Nile, a truly remarkable story. Tim is an Oxford scholar but we will forgive him that.
