The Ospreys
The Ospreys is a sporting society, representing elite sportswomen and raising the profile of women’s sport at Cambridge.
The Ospreys focus is on supporting sporting potential through building networks and connecting sportswomen across the University. All of our members have represented Cambridge in a University Varsity competition and balance their academic studies with elite sport.
Our events range from careers networking to welfare support, physiotherapy, invitational speakers, and social occasions. Every year, we give out sports award bursaries, to talented athletes in need of financial assistance, to the sum of around £3500.
As membership subscription goes towards the costs of maintaining the Hawks’ and Ospreys clubhouse, The Ospreys society relies on sponsorship and partnership with local companies to fund our events and support our sports bursaries. We are seeking additional alumni support to help meet our ongoing expenses and provide more benefits and financial support for our members. Your regular support ensures that The Ospreys can remain financially sustainable and continue to go from strength to strength.
Please note that the club is able to claim Gift Aid on donations from UK taxpayers giving via the University's fundraising campaign, at no additional cost to the donor.
