Doubling the impact of new gifts to student support
Through the visionary philanthropy of David and Claudia Harding, Cambridge has an exciting opportunity to enhance the impact of your generosity.
If you are a new donor to the Collegiate University, or have not given since July 2020, and give to any aspect of 'All the best' — our student support initiative — your gift will unlock, pound for pound, a contribution to a special fund for undergraduate financial support.
Your donation will benefit both your College and students in greatest need across Cambridge and in turn inspire others. Gifts of any size up to £100,000 qualify and every pound makes a difference.
This challenge is the first time the Collegiate University has come together in a fundraising effort to extend the impact of a donor’s gift, which enables us to do more for students than ever before.
To take advantage of the Harding Challenge now, and multiply the power of your donation, please contact your College.

Philanthropic giving is at the heart of the success of the Collegiate University, enabling us to make discoveries that change the world and to ensure that our students receive an unrivalled education. Cambridge owes its world-leading excellence in research and teaching to the generosity of its supporters. Our history is synonymous with a history of far-sighted benefaction, and the same is as true today as it has ever been.
We welcome our third cohort of Harding Distinguished Postgraduate Scholars to the University of Cambridge. The 2021 intake includes 26 students from 15 countries, studying subjects from Archaeology to Zoology — and virtually everything in between — at 16 Colleges.
