Cambridge University Australian Rules Football Club is an inclusive and friendly club for people of all backgrounds and abilities.

CUARFC is a thriving club with a large contingent of regular players, owing to the recent focus on recruitment and the friendly nature of the CUARFC community. There are opportunities for all members to play in fixtures throughout the season, which runs from November to March. Both our Men + Non-Binary and our Women + Non-Binary teams play in several friendlies, the National University League, the Fitzpatrick Cup, and of course Varsity.

The club has a rich history, founded in the early 1900s and the first recorded Varsity match in 1911. Ties between the University of Cambridge and Australian Rules Football go back further, dating to the 1850s when Tom Wills, one of the sport’s founders, was a student at the University.

We would be very grateful for your support to help grow participation in the sport and make it accessible for everyone. Here’s how your generosity could benefit CUARFC and our current members:

  • £40 — pitch hire for a session
  • £60 — match kit
  • £90 — a new Sherrin (ball)
  • £500 — a season’s tournament fees
  • £1000 — transport to an away match
