The Cambridge Psychedelic Research Group (CPRG), led by Dr Liliana Galindo, is at the forefront of a pioneering partnership among the University of Cambridge, the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT), and the Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH). Together, these institutions are uniting their expertise to accelerate the development of innovative psychedelic therapies and redefine the future of mental healthcare.

This partnership represents a landmark step toward building new treatment models for neuropsychiatric disorders, conditions that continue to cause immense suffering and for which current options are often inadequate. Driven by compassion and scientific excellence, CPRG is dedicated to advancing rigorous, multidisciplinary research that translates cutting-edge discoveries into real-world treatments. Its mission is to develop, test, and implement safe, inclusive, and evidence-based psychedelic therapies that can transform mental health outcomes and restore hope to individuals and families affected by severe mental illness.

Guided by compassion and scientific excellence, CPRG conducts rigorous, multidisciplinary research that translates cutting-edge discoveries into safe, evidence-based treatments.

Dr Liliana Galindo, MD, PhD (Principal Investigator), is a Consultant Psychiatrist and Medical Lead in Psychosis at CPFT, and an Affiliated Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Cambridge. As the Founding Director and Principal Investigator of CPRG, Dr Galindo brings over a decade of experience in clinical research with psychoactive substances.

Currently, the CPRG, in a partnership with the charity Supporting Wounded Veterans, is developing a clinical trial for MDMA-assisted group therapy for veterans, first responders and war correspondents suffering from PTSD in the UK.

The fund will support research by the Cambridge Psychedelic Research Group (CPRG), led by Dr Liliana Galindo.
